Friday, 3/28/25 at 11:00 a.m. - 1:30(ish) p.m.

My newest kitchen obsession is all things fermentation! In addition to being excellent for your gut, these foods and beverages are flavor powerhouses. We will go over the process of making the following ferments in your home kitchen:

  • Kombucha

  • Ginger Bug

  • Yogurt

  • Pickled Onions

  • Sauerkraut

  • Refrigerator Pickles

  • Fermented Ginger Honey

While sourdough starter is one of my FAVORITE ferments (obviously), I will not cover wild-yeast sourdough starters, given that I have another workshop on that beautiful life-changing ferment (SEE: Rustic Sourdough Workshop).

Participants will get a tasting of all ferments, a packet of recipes, instructions, and resources as well as a Flight of Ferments to take home to begin your fermentation adventure. Your Flight of Ferments includes:

  • Active SCOBY & starter liquid for brewing Kombucha

  • Active Ginger Bug Starter

  • Active Yogurt Starter

As with any McKibbon Hollow event, we will enjoy tea, coffee, and break bread together with baked goods from the McKibbon Hollow Baker’s Kitchen.

Before you reserve your seat, please note:

  • Given that the nature of these workshops will focus heavily on instruction, I will not have childcare available for your little ones. Please make alternative arrangements for your children, so you can participate fully in the workshop.

  • All workshops must have a minimum of 4 attendees for the workshop to run. If the workshop is canceled due to attendance, you will be refunded.

  • Make sure to use an email you check frequently upon payment, as all details regarding the workshop will be sent there.

  • We do have a dog in the home, please be aware in case of allergies. He will be crated during our workshop, as he is loving but still a very excitable puppy!
